Rare Soriana chaise Longue/lounger by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, Italy, 1970s. Reupholstered in a Bruder wool and cotton mix fabric and shows it?s characteristic round and bulky shape. The concept behind the Soriana series was to express a comfortable design where a bundle of fabric or leather was held together by chrome-plated metal clamps. The ?Soriana? series won the Compasso d?Oro price in 1970.
